Scientist: Boredom is our worst enemy in isolation

Being in isolation, one should pay close attention to the load on both the body and the brain, otherwise mood swings, fatigue and sleep problems may occur. This was shared by RIA Novosti researcher in the Laboratory for Social and Cognitive Psychology at the Institute of Biomedical Problems Anna Yusupova.
β€œIn extreme manifestations, asthenization (insufficient toning of the nervous system) can lead to mood swings, fatigue, conflicts, difficulty falling asleep and inability to rest. This is a threat to people placed under domestic quarantine,” Yusupova said.

According to her, in conditions of isolation, the overloaded nervous system can react paradoxically to external stimuli - to the weak too acutely, and to the strong ones - dismissive.

To prevent negative consequences in conditions of self-isolation, the psychologist recommended that you plan your day and observe a regime, as well as engage your brain with pleasant activity for you. Here everything depends on preferences: from knitting and embroidery to board games and reading books, Channel 3 supplements.

Do not forget about physical loads and exercises, because after them you will feel more vigilant not only physically.

"Do you like to jump on a rope? Excellent. Do not like to jump - try then, at least for a while! Now there is a huge number of applications with proposed physical exercises for everyone. Be sure to engage in some physical activity - it will help not only your body, but also your mental health,” Yusupova said.
