Over the past 10 years, China retains world first place in number of artificial intelligence patent applications

Yesterday, China's 2020 annual AI industry conference was held in Suzhou. The report on the development of the sphere shows that by number of applications for patents for artificial intelligence over the past ten years, China has managed to maintain the world first, Radio China reports.
The number of global patent applications in the sphere over the past ten years exceeds 520,000 and those from China accounted for 389,571, accounting for 74.7% of the world's total.

At the same time, China's level of research in more than 10 subcategories of artificial intelligence, such as natural language processing, chip technology and machine learning, are leading, and in the field of human-computer interaction, knowledge engineering, robotics, computer graphics and computational theory, China still has to catch up with the top states.
