“Huawei has decided to sell all Honor assets to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology,” the press release said.

The reason is the “constant lack of technical components” required for the production of mobile devices.

Upon completion of the transaction, Huawei will not own shares or participate in the management and decision-making of the new Honor company, the announcement specified.

The US suspects the company of cooperating with Chinese special services and spying on users. Last year, Washington blacklisted Huawei and made it impossible to supply technology and components to the U.S. market to deploy 5G networks. Huawei dismisses the charges against itself and considers them politically motivated.
