Elon Musk: Man could set foot on Mars in 6 years

US entrepreneur Elon Musk, creator and head of Tesla and SpaceSex companies, said a man could set foot on Mars in six years, TASS reported.
He said this during a ceremony awarding an award for innovative ideas that impact society to the Axel-Springer media concern. The ceremony was broadcast live on the company's website, BTA reports.

"I'm confident this will happen in six years,” Musk said in response to a question about when humans will be able to set foot on Mars.

He added that under favorable conditions the first person can reach the planet even after four years. “We will try to send an unmanned ship there in two years,” Musk added.
